TOLEDO, Ohio (Aug. 7) – Ravenna, Ohio racer Trent Stephens would drive his Steve Stout owned No. 19 to Toledo Speedway victory lane. 4 hours earlier teammate Randy Burch would break a left rear axle on his No. 49 during his cool down lap in qualifying smacking the outside turn two wall. This ended his night, and would provide for a bittersweet ending for the Acme Racing teammates and their crew. This would be Stephens 2nd victory of the year after winning at Oswego in May.

After a hour long rain delay, the field of fifteen super modifieds would be led to the green by Bobby Dawson. Early on Stephens would take the lead after starting mid pack. The 30 lap race would run green until lap 23, when the No. 11 of Kyle Edwards would lose a right rear tire. On the restart Stephens would again pull ahead from the pack and take the checkers with a healthy lead. Tim Jedrzejek, Charlie Schultz, Tim Ice, and Bobby Dawson would round out the top five. Heat race winners would be Charlie Schultz and Tim Jedrzejek. During the 2nd heat, No. 12 Brandon Fisher would go up in flames on the backstretch while leading. While unhurt, the car was retired to the trailer.
