Port City Racing to sponsor Berlin Raceway's huge September 11 and 12 weekend of racing
Jenison, MI- Every summer, race teams and fans search for the biggest events of the season to circle on their calendar. The Berlin Raceway traditionally has several larger than average events each season, and 2009 will be no different.
Berlin Raceway is pleased to announce their partnership with racing industry giant, Port City Racing. An event that has been known as the 'Boyne at Berlin' in previous seasons, will take on a new name for what will be the fourth annual weekend. The 'Port City Racing Classic at Berlin' will take place on September 11th and 12th 2009, with a preliminary practice day on September 10 optional for teams.
Port City Racing has three divisions, including Integra Racing Shocks, Springs, and Port City Manufacturing. These three divisions make up the whole Port City Racing team. Their knowledgeable sales staff is equipped to provide you with the highest quality parts available, along with excellent customer service. For your convenience they offer same-day shipping, with the exception of special order items. Contact Port City Racing toll free, at 1-800-472-2464.
"The Boyne at Berlin event was something that we knew we had to be a part of, and to now have the weekend be known as the Port City Racing Classic at Berlin is exciting for all of us here at Port City Racing!" said Scott Keyser, President and Owner of Port City Racing.
The seven-sixteenths mile raceway located in Marne Michigan, is known for being one of the most challenging, yet exciting facilities to host auto racing events. The new Port City Racing two-day show will be no different from what race fans and competitors have come to expect.
"Having Port City Racing onboard to sponsor our big fall race weekend is exciting for us, but just as exciting for race teams. Last year's event was the largest in Berlin's history, and we think this season will again be a keystone event for our teams!" stated Mike Blackmer, President of Berlin Raceway.
Friday night September 11 will see a 40-lap feature event with the traveling USA Modified Series, and a 20-lap 4-Cylinder feature along with both of their heat races. The Late Models, Super Stocks, Pro Stocks, and Young Guns will all run preliminary events as well.
Saturday September 12 will be a full night of feature racing events, including a 100-lap Late Model race, 50 laps for the USA Modifieds and longer events for each of the other Berlin Raceway weekly divisions. Both nights of action will begin at 6p.m. and a two-day ticket package is available for only $20 for Adults!
